House (s) Crush : Skona Hem
November 7, 2011

Winter is coming and thinking of winter always conjures up images of warm fires, snow falling, soup on the stove, a warm cup of tea and Swedish Interiors [who knows, maybe it’s just the Swedish pancakes I ate yesterday that has me thinking of Sweden?].  Regardless, I think of their long winters and how it really wouldn’t be so bad if you were cozied up in rooms like these.  When I need a quick fix I always head on over to Skona Hem … it never disappoints.  And of course, if I have time to kill than a trip to IKEA never hurts, either.

Are you making any changes around your house for winter?

If you are looking for ways to cozy up your home for winter enter to win $75 from Novica.  There are so many great handcrafted items from around the globe that would be perfect for a little seasonal change.  GIVEAWAY ends tonight.

Oh, I LOVE these interiors. Do you ever look at freshome.com? I check on them about every day. They have tons of these sorts of interiors. I’m warning you, though. You can waste a few good hours there. Search their apartment section.
And what the heck are Swedish pancakes?

Ok…. I’m dying to check out this new site. And I’m certain that I’ll waste hours! You have to try Swedish Pancakes they are my fav! Almost like crepes but a little thicker!

Oh, I love Skona Hem too. The only changes I am making for winter are to look for more ways to bring light into my home. The screens are coming down, blinds on a couple of glass panels are being replaced by light filtering fake etched glass film, other blinds being covered by soft white sheers so that the blinds can stay up all day, that sort of thing. It is all about the light for me this year! I am also painting some dark wood furniture white to lighten things up. Now I am going to check on Freshome.com!

Great changes! Adding more light is the best way to make winter not so gloomy. Good luck with all the changes! xo
